Understanding Marketing Cloud Growth

Confused by the existence of all the marketing options in Salesforce? You’re not the only one. Salesforce launched Marketing Cloud Growth to streamline the integration and automation of tools like Pardot, Marketing Cloud, Interaction Studio, and Datorama, aiming to simplify marketing processes. It’s a very new development, so we have done some research to help make sense of it all.
For the sake of keeping thing simple, here is a short list of ways Marketing Cloud Growth can help you and your org stay organized and optimize automation.
- Content Management: Utilize the Content tab, powered by Salesforce CMS, to organize marketing content in workspaces and folders.
- Content Creation: Create or clone various types of marketing-specific content such as emails, landing pages, forms, images, and SMS messages.
- Content Status: Each item’s status helps identify if it’s ready for campaign use.
- Editing Experience: A unified design framework ensures a consistent editing environment regardless of the content type created.
- Branding: Customize content with your company’s brand colors, fonts, and styles to maintain consistency across all communications.
- Emails and SMS Messages: Tools are provided for building, previewing, testing, and publishing emails and creating SMS messages for direct customer engagement.
- Forms and Landing Pages: Build forms and landing pages to gather user information or introduce your brand, with the ability to incorporate forms into landing pages for simplified user engagement.
Who are the target audiences of Marketing Cloud Growth?
Small and medium sized businesses are the ideal target audience for now. This platform caters to organizations looking to scale their marketing efforts without the complexity typically associated with larger systems.
Who will you need to set up and use Marketing Cloud Growth?
First things first, you need an admin. Ideally, you’ll also need a marketing admin, and someone who knows their way around Data Cloud. Gather your people and check out this guide from Salesforce on how to set up Marketing Cloud Growth.
What type of user permissions are needed?
Two permission sets are necessary for Marketing Cloud Growth setup: Marketing Cloud Admin and Marketing Cloud Manager. These folks will need access to campaigns, segments, flows Data Cloud, etc. Other permissions include General Marketing, CMS Content Rules, Content Permissions in Marketing Cloud, Content and Publishing Permissions, Flow Permissions within Marketing Cloud and Objects Access within the Systems Permissions list (source).
Currently, Marketing Cloud Growth is available only in the United States and Canada. It is expected to expand to the UK, Switzerland, and Africa (UMEA) later this year.
