New Agentforce Specialist Certification
On March 3rd, the Certified AI Specialist credential will transition into the Certified Agentforce Specialist credential. This is more than a name change, so you may want to pay attention here, especially if you’ve already started studying for this exam. Here is what you need to know:

You do not need to take any action if you’ve already passed the AI Specialist exam. Your credential will be automatically updated to reflect the new Agentforce Specialist name on March 3, 2025. If you earn this certification before August 2025, you will need to take the Agentforce Specialist Summer ‘25 certification maintenance module.
The Exam is Dramatically Changing

The Exam Will Change on March 3rd, 2025
If you have been studying for the exam, you may want to take the exam before this date. Otherwise, you need to pivot your studying to focus on the new content.
If you have already registered for the AI Specialist exam, that doesn’t lock you in for the old exam. If you take the exam before March 3rd, you will receive the old exam. If you take the exam after March 3rd, you will receive the new, updated exam.

Both the old AI Specialist and new Agentforce Specialist exams are free, through the end of 2025. However, retake’s are $100, so you will want to make sure you study well and go into the exam confident.
