How Can Salesforce Professionals Prepare for an Einstein Future?

When ChatGPT LLM AI was released, users adopted this technology with blazing speed. Nobody was prepared for the change this tool brought to the technology world. Multiple parties developed and released their own LLMs, and platform providers like Salesforce developed ways for you to integrate and use them on their platforms. Salesforce calls the suite of products that leverage AI Einstein.
The initial models were flawed, but they showed promise. As we saw new releases, we were all impressed by the speed and progress. While some people predicted AI would eliminate jobs, including coder positions, others saw this future far away. They thought this technology could eliminate simple tasks and junior positions in the future.
The Future
A popular meme is circulating the internet: The meme asks, “Will ChatGPT replace the programmers?” and answers, “No, but programmers will be replaced by programmers using ChatGPT.”
There is no doubt LLM AI accelerates and helps with code and low-code development.
Soon, Einstein for Flow will give you the first draft of Flow based on your prompts. You will have to review, edit, test, and finish it. This tool will only handle simple use cases initially. The output can only be considered a draft.
Multiple people will create flows in your org much faster than before on top of existing workflow rules, process builders, Apex triggers, and managed packages. You already have years of work and tech debt accumulated in your org. This change will only accelerate the pace of change in your Salesforce instance and enable more people to develop low-code and code solutions.
The Preparation
These customized solutions will inevitably trip each other sooner or later. How will you avoid disasters? The Achilles heel of the LLM AI tools is that they cannot give you a holistic evaluation. You can feed a flow XML to the tool and ask it to review and suggest improvements, but it does not know what other deployed solutions can affect the outcome. You must look at the big picture, know how things run under the hood, work around governor limits and debug flows effectively.
If you are not an advanced-level low-coder, you need to get there; Einstein for Flow will depend on you.
The Conclusion
History shows us that humankind is terrible at predicting the future, especially technology-related changes. The internet is full of bold quotes uttered at some point by intelligent people who now look ridiculous. Nobody expected what the internet could bring, and nobody has predicted the adoption speed of mobile phones. The examples continue.
ChatGPT LLM saw a crazy speed of adoption that is not comparable to anything else in the past. I use ChatGPT almost every day. However, the future is not clear. We only know that we are at a chasm now.
We cannot prepare for the future by studying and learning LLM AI models alone, but we can best prepare by advancing our skills and knowledge related to the tool and industry we are working on.

What do you think?
If you agree, act now. The future is approaching blazing fast.
